The other day, one of the paths down the hill was lined with a ridiculous amount of leaves. Which, obviously came from the maintainance guys leafblowing. But if you looked closer, you realized that all of the ground around it had your average number of leaves for Fall. And the trees there had no leaves left on them. So I really wonder where these leaves came from....

...then I saw a dark brown squirrel. It was an intense tuesday.

I've also discovered that my transcript here changes basically everytime I need to look at it. Now I found out that I got excempt from taking any language classes because I reached 4/5 in high school. Last week they told me I hadn't tested out....
...Next thing I know, I'll find that they no longer have a record of me as a student.

We watched the Little Mermaid last night. And I forgot how good that movie was. After we watched it, we were all really incredibly happy. Even Verc, this kid on my floor who lifts weights and had a 6 pack and all that jazz, was so giddy and excited that the Little Mermaid was on... and actually remembered way more than I did when I was little.
Then we realized that that movie would NEVER be made today.
Boobs are EVERYWHERE.
The word 'tramp' is in there once or twice.
It's actually pretty scary.
Ariel is naked at parts of it....you don't see anything, obviously, but she IS.

Nowadays kids movies are not that scary. My friend was telling us that she attempted to watch the Little Mermaid with her 5 year old cousins, and they started crying so much she had to turn it off. It was too scary.... This makes the whole of Web 7 very, very sad.

And finally, Thankgiving is PRETTY SOON! I'm excited!

My iPod is missing.....

....I left it in my car when I went to work, LOCKED the car ( I think???), and when I got back to my car, my armrest of..messy, and some stuff was not quite where I left it.

Of course, thanks to my parents plan of stealing things out of my car, I assumed it was them.

Appearently not.

What sucks the most is I was listening to it on the way to work, meaning, there is no way I just simply left it somewhere in my room.

I'm really hoping it's somewhere in my car, and I'm just a moron and can't find it.

Ugh.
Impending doom hits as once again Lori is not accepted to her 3rd first choice school.

It looks as if I will be traveling into the rural areas of Upstate New York for college next year.

I'm glad this whole, 'Working really hard in high school' thing worked out well for me.

Cool.

It has finally been figured out. The sunday after graduation, June 18th, my grandparents and I are driving down to New York City, staying in a 4 star hotel, and then sunday night we're making our way down to see Chicago. Monday, we're sightseeing and roaming around, and then that night we are seeing Rent. And then Tuesday, more sightseeing and roaming and then Wicked. And then we are driving home wednesday.

Soooooo, Chicago, Rent and Wicked. Not so bad, eh??

Ack, I'm so excited! The cool thing is, they are flying up for my graduation. I hadn't even thought about that occuring. Oooh, college is looming.

Speaking of, Wheaton, Colgate and Skidmore, you best be getting on sending your letters out. I'm not a very patient person, let me tell you!

Sooo, upon breaking my backpack this morning, burning my bagal in the toaster with Dana's,and coming home to see one of my picture frames broken, I also am notified that I was rejected from Boston College.

Goddamnit.

And the upsetting thing is, they claimed they weren't giving any letters out until april 15th. Which, I take to mean, they really rejected me. Like, 'Wow, she has no chance, so... why even bother?'

Appearently, in hopes of going to a specific college automatically causes me to be rejected.

:-\

Guess what Kennedy did friday during recess?

She spent a good portion of it lying on the ground with her friend, watching the clouds go by. Then, they decided that they wanted to do something active, and they started the entire class on a giant game of leapfrog.

As cool as I think Kennedy is, and how neat it is having her around, I don't think I was ever consciously jealous of her before that statement.

Yesterday, I went to a used bookstore, various friend's houses of my mom's, a fast food mexican place, a hardware store, a maple syrup house and I saw buffalo. Then I watched Wallace and Gromit, and the new Pride and Prejudice movie.
Ummm, Pride and Prejudice made me more happy than anyother movie I've ever seen. Ahhhhh. I loved it. I will own it as soon as I can spare 20 dollars.

Today was a rousing day of family coming up and me and my sisters playing gamecube with Ryan.

Guess what is the lamest thing in the world?
CONFLICTING SCHEDULES.

*sigh*

I think it's really funny that it took until 9:15ish tonight for me to realize that I was in a bad mood all day.

As in, really, I either got pissed off or defensive in all of my classes (save for physics), and I didn't realize it until 9:15. That's.... bizarre. Usually, if anything, I can tell if I'm not so good.
The funny thing was, the only two to notice anything was off was Megan and Ariel, when I had a headache at the concert.

I WAS NUMBER 3 FOR MARINE BIO STUFF!!!
AND, the first third year offender to turn stuff in, which means I get pretty much first pick period. :-P Hells yes. ohpleaseletmebearideronanicesunnyday.

Commonwealth college, which is the sector of UMASS- Amherst that I got into, is a lot more hardcore than I thought. Like, semi-selective, and all of the stats are slightly higher than mine. Hmmmmmmm. Decisions, decisions.......

I like fridays where I get to wake up late and go out to breakfast with AP Chem before going to school.

Wow, how quickly that was dashed.

Greece is a no go. Appearently I needed to decide yesterday if I was going, for I guess that both booking are already full. And the only other trip is August 16, and that would require me going to college late. So, no on that.

Instead, I guess they want to take me to NYC and watch a bunch of Broadway plays for a few days. Which, I must admit, is a lot more Lori-like, though there is a dissappointment in the whole, 'not going to Greece' thing.
Either way, It's a really nice thought, and appearently all sets of grandparents have been planning some sort of gift for me. I didn't realize this was a common thing...

But, cool.

The gift consisting of a 3-week jaunt on a schooner through the Aegean Sea in Greece.

....

WOW.

So, I'm meditating on this idea. And the more I think about it, the most the perks outweigh the sucky parts.

For one, it's a once in a lifetime thing.
Second, it's Greece. Holy crap.
Third, it's really different. And something that's a bit out of my confort level, which makes it even more appealing.

But, There's always the 'three weeks out of my last summer',
and, the, Not seeing anyone I know for three weeks.
And spending my last three weeks of summer away from, well, YOU.

It appears as if the last three are restating the same thing, but it's pretty much there just to bring light its importance.

*sigh*

Oh, and the whole, 'If I go, I have to quit Regal' thing, I think.

And, technically, it doesn't have to be the last 3 weeks of summer. It COULD be June 8. But, if I did that, I a) wouldn't be graduating, b) wouldn't be able to do Marine Bio, c) go to graduation parties, and d) No summer musical. So I feel as if this is not an option. Though RIGHT NOW, that seems better than missing 3 weeks of later on, when I know we'll all be scrambling to spend time together.

Hmmm.

hurrrr......

.

Pretty much a day where I could have left school at 11:17 and it would have been fine.

I've finally reached the point where I can't pick up on stats anymore. This angers me. It also means I have to go back to paying attention to that man's drivel. I.. I don't even know. Whatever. I don't really care what the proportion is if the value can have an error of 4 and the confidence level is 95%. I have a feeling I will never use that in my life. Besides on this ridiculous AP test.

The only reason Physics was worthwhile was because I already had everything done, so I headed to the library to read Wuthering Heights.

Drama is one big waste. 5 interchangable lines. And all I did today was sit in the front row and read. And hold doors for Sara when she was bring stuff upstairs.

On the brightside, I ate breakfast this morning.
And I like breakfast, holy crap. I was actually awake in chemistry this morning.

And, I haven't told Niki yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm taking her prom dress. Not the one she wore last year, as it's been established that one just doesn't fit, but the other one. It's very pretty and cute and I like it a lot! Ahh. Go figure, and I didn't even have to go to a store or think about prom. Sweet.

Also, yay for Ryan beiing really cute. 'Cause he is and it deserves mentioning...

So I believe that I am finally getting sick.
But I'm going to blame it on the fact that after sleeping quite nicely in a really comfortable bed, coming home and falling asleep in a ridiculously cold house for 5 hours. I think that would do it.

Appearently, we are out of oil? LAME. Fred Fuller is out in our driveway, and have been for 30 minutes, and holy god, I'm freezing. 54 degrees in my room. I pretty much just want to take a shower, but am interrupted.

Last night I spent a lovely night with Niki Havener. We got take-out, and cookie dough and spent our time watching Wedding Crashers and being girls. At one point we went upstairs and saw on the computer, a paint picture from Travis and Chris that said, 'WE WE'RE HERE!' Freaked us our a while.

Shortly after that, we hear a knock on the window and we see a Dana and a Ryan! Added later was an Andrew!

Clearly, the lesson here is, 'Niki and Lori are just too awesome not to be found.' Sweeeet!

And I ended up spending the night on the greatest futon in the world before coming back to my ice palace.

The heat is back on, I'm so freaking excited.

So after a nap, I've come to a very pleasant conclusion, despite my lack of effort.

My class is REALLY cool.

a) I appear to be the only person not participating in themed days
b)As of history today, they were planning to be at the school forever and spend whatever in order to make our room te sweetest room ever.
c)We had, by far, the most participants in the talent show

ad though it doesn't really fall for the entire senior class...

d)AP chemistry just decided to go into AP Bio and chill out for a while. And we did. And it was coooooool.

I love Dancing with the Stars. Like nobody's business.

My room is messy.

I've been eating so much unhealthy food, and I kind of really don't like it, while I do. This is good because a) it means I still love the fatty content and b)means I'm still on a health food kick whiich is good.

Appearently we have a scale in the house these days. I stepped on it yesterday, and it was really fun for I hadn't been on a scale in a year or so. This does not mean I'm self-conscience. In fact, lately I've been the opposite for appearently I look a lot thinner?

I loooooooooooove Sudoku. When I finish my poetry paper, I'm going to play it. Also, after I finsih Death of a Salesman. Which, surprise, I am not a fan of. Interesting concept, though I'm not fan of READING it and such.

It really is legitimately cool that my 5 lines in the festival/spring show are all interchangable. And not English. This only means I now have to com up with a interesting 'yeti' voice.
Speaking of festival, it's in TWO WEEKS. HOLY CRAP. MAYBE WE START THE SHOW????

Kristen and I have decided to band together for festival. I feel as if I will have the most fun with her and our sarcastic personallities will glow through this.
Festival will also not be the same with Carla and the 'About this Rack...' conversation.

Appearently, I have been sad this year. This is not the case, in fact, though it may surprise many, this is the least stressful year ever. According to Mr. D, I seem to be a lot sadder and was given the option of, 'you can quit SVE if you don't want to be there, Lori. I'm not forcing you.' Appearently I'm really hard to read, because SVE is probably my favorite class. I couldn't tell if it was him wanting me to quit SVE, but I guess it was nice to see that he's concerned?? In fact, lately he's been quit concerned. I'm attributing it to the possibility of him gaining a daughter soon. It's cute, Mr. D is a nice guy, as long as the rest of us don't kill him before high school ends.

Naps make me feel really, really, really, really, really, really good. YESSSSSSSS.

I am terrible at poetry. Seriously. Someone needs to fix this.

back to homework!

Yayyyy 42nd Street!

Go figure.

The audience seemed to love it and despite the insane amount of errors that we made (or, at least I made, for I could have done a lot better), people came out really impressed. My Dad was exceedingly impressed, and he is never impressed by anything.

Appearently I looked upset all night? I think it may be because of my playing Suduku before the show instead of running around and screaming.

Ummm, soooo, the whole point is, It was a really good show and it will only get better!

Yay!

I told my parents about my scholarship conference to Syracuse, and my dad's initial response was, 'Hey, that's cool, you have to spend the night there? Bring a friend!'
Then my stepmom freaked out at him for suggesting such a thing.
a)Since when would my dad ever LET me go to New York witha friend over night?
and
b)Maybe I'm going to college in 7 months and it should be considered for longer than a second?

My mom has really thrown me for a loop tonight.

So everyone was exceedingly tired today.

I've decided that I really should go to school when I'm completely exhausted. Why? Because I get exceedingly sarcastic and argue with Mr. K for 10 minutes on statistical blocking. It's pretty much as lame as it sounds.

I got 15% on my figurative/literal meanings in English. She let us do it again as a class, and the two the majority of the class got wrong after that were the two that I defended. WOW. Mrs. Brown didn't look impressed. I didn't either so either, because I thought I had done well on that worksheet.

And to think, going into high school english was my strong point.

BUT, I got home today and Syracuse had sent me an invitation to a scholarship conference in April. The letter ended with a statement, 'Though this is being sent out prior to acceptance letters, the names we have given the commitee are those that are highly qualified candidates for admission.'
Ahhhhhh, sort of an unofficial acceptance letter! To a really good college!

I'm excited, because..well, it's much better than the Brown rejection letter. Even if it's not officlal.

I've had a lot of chocolate and junk food today. Ick.. This healthy food thing lately is really cramping my style. And making me feel gross.

Speaking of feeling gross, Leanne and I ate dinner with our mom tonight. Kennedy wasn't invited. She gave us each a bracelet or necklace to hawk at the next possible oppertunity and emotionally overloaded us before we even opened the menu. Thanks, mom?

She's seeing the show on friday, so that will be nice, I'm excited.

I should do my homework.

It's surprisingly kinda cute when Mr. D does the 'traditional father-figure' speech to me. Haha, I love Mr. D.

On the other hand, even after 4 years, I still cannot stand Mr. Cohen.

I introduced Tim and Darah to Molten cake last night. Darah didn't say a word for 20 minutes. Then I showed her the cell tree in Dunbarton which she had never seen before. She thought it was hilarious.

There were 6 ambulences and 4 fire trucks and numerous police cars at my neighbors house last night. I Don't know why, but they were they for 2 hours and I guess my sister has a friend that lives there.

Friday was fuuuuuun.

I will be upset when I call t 10:30 to work and find out that I will have to work 2 to 6. Because they are awesome and couldn't make a decision until 3.5 hours before I may have to go in.

I failed to mention this earlier, and I do believe it's imparative.

The following would be an exact account of the stupidest thing I've ever done in my life.

Last saturday, I went to my mom's house with my sisters. We got there, my mom says, 'Ok, we're going to Margarita's and you are driving.'
Ok.
So, we drive, there, and if you don't know, Margirita's is right on main street. And this was a saturday night in a college town.
We park, I pay the meter after a few minutes of squabbling over why I need to pay a meter on sautrday night.

We go in, eat, sit around, do whatever we do. And we ended up staying for an hour and a half.

We walk out, and I can see my car from a little ways away and I see that my lights are on.

And then I get a little closer and see that, not only are my lights on, my whole car is on.

Like, running.

Soo, pretty much, I left my car running, unlocked, with my iPod just sitting there in the front seat for A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF. On Saturday night. In a college town. On main street.

And it was STILL there! Go figure!

So, that was my stupid experience of the year/luckiest.

Haha.

Oh god, I have so much homework.

I like that my last 3 posts end in some sort of reference to my uncharacteristically good mood.

I have no idea what it is. Well, I've actually got a pretty good idea. It's weird though, because this time for the last 3 years, I've always been stressed to the point of going to bed early and crying once a day. Tonight I actually went to Wal-mart to wander around and head to Regal to.. pretty much chill out and get my pay check.

So for a change of pace, I'm just simply going to make a list of things that I think are awesome right now:

The musical seems to be ahead of schedule

Compared to previous years, there is a lot less drama within the music wing

I'm (sort of..) not stressed at all

Musical cast has finally reached a point where we've all started bonding

Grades really no longer count

For the first time ever, I skipped a class completely without signing out, calling a parent, or even going to the class in the first place. We had a sub though, so it was justified

I'm still retaining a semblence of free time

Maybe two of my favorite people in the world are entering the chapter of adulthood on friday

Semi is on saturday!

I actually have a date to the semi !

Someone I deem really awesome

Fritz has noticed I've been nicer to people lately

Senioritis has kicked in and I'm back to my sophomoric ways of slacking off

Aww, I miss college kids....

Livejournal wants me to change my password. Appearently it's too easy to guess. It's not even a word....

I've been upset all day. I don't know why, I actually think it has something to do with my sleeping schedule. I think I've been sleeping too much in the past few days. WEIRD. Especially for me, I think.

I have spent so much money this week.

Darah's birthday was last night, so we ended up going to a haunted house and staying in her parents abandonned condo. Pretty sweet actually! I spent most of the time with Megan and Niki, though. The haunted house was decent, I'm glad Niki and Erin managed to get through it. :-)
Umm, we woke up at 7:30. Who does that??

Work was fun, I suppose. I always seem to get stuck with the sucky break, where I'm either by myself or with someone I don't know at all. AND I left my legwarmers at Darah's. AND I didn't do too well, and people kept coming up with cleaver ways to sneak into Saw 2 that I KNEW were happening, but I couldn't do anythng about. Lame.
I did get a call from my manager on the other side of the lobby pretending to be a customer wondering about cinematreats. Took me about 3 minutes to understand that it was him. And it did make me look like an idiot, eh.

I'm really restless and fidgety lately.
I don't really know what it is, but I am unsatisfied with something.
I think it's worse than knowing what it is, because there's nothing I can do to fix it.
I think it has something to do with knowing VERY soon if I'm a winner and get to go to a college I'm in LOVE with or if I'm a loser and must keep looking.
Oh god, early December.

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. I hate college. I need to get moving on the rest of my applications. I bet it's too late to ask Mrs. Brown for a reccomendation....

I've learned today;
...I'm going to help many times over
...So are my dad and Leanne
...Coffins, Cemetaries and funerals in general freak me the hell out.
...My dad is very morbid
...Mrs. Lambert will yell at you if you are a minor coming to school to drop off a trip payment, even if you have an early release that period. In fact, she will try and keep you in school.
...Mrs. Dupruis tells you to run to the music wing before Mrs. Lambert can come back and yell some more.

So in 1/2 an hour I'm off to my mom's for the night and tomorrow, where I offered to pay for dinner, and there will be a kitten in the car on the way there. Let us hope the kitten doesn't ate cars.

My parents must *really* not think much of me.
'Tomorrow, please, no cleavage.'

Err, seriously? I do wear low cut shirts. But I do own and wear APPROPRIATE SHIRTS. Plus, that's weird. A funeral is not a place for a low cut shirt.

I spent most of the night playing with streamers at work. And appearently very poorly. One of the managers decided to 'fix' what we had done, because it was pretty aweful.

This weekend will be awesome; the only homework I have is history; two packets to highlight. YES.

I'm exhausted and not going to school tomorrow; Funeral instead.
My great-grand-mother died. Well, my stepmom's grandmother. She was 97, had alziehmer's and has been in a coma for the past couple of weeks from Pnuemonia. And everytime I was subjected to her in the past 4 years, she'd either a) ask me the same three questions over and over or b) tell me what a horrible person I was. But it's still sad because someone I knew was living and now they are not. :-\ Though she was suffering, so I'm glad she's finally done with it.

Sleep.
